Excerpt:
Anthony
Douglas sat beside his son’s bed. He pushed his son’s hair off his forehead. His son sucked noisily on his thumb.
Anthony sighed. Who would have guessed that a year and half ago his 11 year old son was running around happily playing with
his two brothers. A year and half ago, Anthony closed his eyes; he had a wife, three beautiful sons and a ranch.
He lost two of his three
sons, his wife and his ranch. His oldest son now had a mind of a one year old due to the head injury he got in the fire.
People told him he should be thankful he had
one son. They said if it hadn’t been for Joshua Craig he wouldn’t have Thomas now.
Anthony smirked, “If Joshua Craig was mighty,
he would have helped me save all my family.” He had to take his son and leave Blazing Star because of all the stares
and whispers. They said he was drunk and he let his family burn. They were going
to take Thomas from him. All because of Joshua Craig. “Well, I’ll teach you Joshua Craig. Exodus 21:23-25, ‘But
if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe
for stripe.’” Anthony leaned over and kissed his son. “The nuns are going take good care of you son. Pa
has got some business to take care of. I’ll be back.”

Excerpt:
"Rochelle, what have you got yourself into."
Rochelle continued towards the vacant lot. She felt a little better but not much.
She looked around and realized she was getting closer to the area of town called Rock Bottom. She smirked
at the saying around Stone Creek. They say Rock Bottom tries very hard to live up to it’s name.
When she arrived, she noticed it was 11:25. There was a guy sitting on an old crate.
She slowly approached him. "Uh, the ticking of the clock is a reminder that time and life is ticking away."
The guy smiled. "Closer than you think. You got my money?"
"Yeah, if you have what I want."
He grinned. "Yeah, I got what you want." He reached in his jacket pocket and pulled out a blade.
Rochelle acted fast. She kicked him in the stomach but the blade did cut her on the leg. She headed for the
woods.
As she headed into the woods, she noticed three guys chasing her. As she ran, the trees, and briars clawed
at her. She was glad for her jacket, otherwise her arms would be scraped up.
It was starting to rain but Rochelle continued running. A tree root caused her to fall. "Get up and run Rochelle.
You will be in Paul’s arms soon."

He went into the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror.
"Crap!"
His eyes were bloodshot and he had a day’s growth of a beard. He decided to let it go.
Joe shed his t-shirt and boxers and stepped into the shower, turning the water temperature as hot as he could
stand it. He let the near scalding water flow over him as he flexed the tight, sore muscles and let his mind wander.
After getting dressed, he decided that he would grab something to eat on the set. He headed out of his apartment
complex to his car. He stopped and his mouth dropped open.
"Oh heck no...crap!"
His midnight blue sports car was painted purple, neon pink, neon green and neon orange.
Joe ran his fingers through his dark brown hair.
One of his neighbor’s walked by. He stopped and looked at Joe and his car. The guy snickered, "Nice
paint job, Joe." Then laughed as he headed for his own car.
"Thanks!" Joe yelled sarcastically.
He picked up his cell phone and called the police first and then the producer of ‘Scream Factor’.
The police officers had a hard trouble keeping their laughter in check.
Joe was angry. "How much longer? I need to get to the set."
The first officer said, "Not much more. Do you know who could be doing this?"
"No. I mean, the business I am in, you do sometimes make people mad."
"I see. Well, we will file a report and then turn it over to the detectives."
"Thanks." Joe mumbled as he headed over to the car the producer had sent to pick him up.
By the time Joe got to the set, he was in a very bad mood.
One of the lady contestant came up to Joe, flirting and chattering away. Joe rolled his eyes

Big Albert’s cell phone rang and his bodyguard handed it to him. "Hello? Oh hey Judy, how are you darling...yes...I
told you not to worry...you will have delivery on time...listen let me call you back...I’m in the middle of a business
deal. Alright...talk to you later." He handed the cell phone back to his bodyguard. "Rudy?"
"Yes Big Albert?"
"Remind me to call Judy Miller later after this business deal."
"Yes sir."
"Alright let’s..." Big Albert looked up and saw a young black woman coming to his table. She was wearing
worn out clothes and had a black eye, bruised cheek, and a cut on her swollen lips. Her eyes were dead set on Big Albert.
Big Albert put on a big smile. "Lacy honey, what are you doing here?"
Lacy with no emotion said, "Day of reckoning Big Albert."
"What?"
Lacy pulled out a pistol and shot Big Albert. "Time for the guilty to pay."
Big Albert’s bodyguards pulled out their pistols and started shooting Lacy. Megan and Jessica pulled
out their guns and start shooting at the bodyguards. Then the place goes crazy with people running, screaming and tables being
turned over.
Jessica yelled in the hidden wire. "Marshall get in here and get some backup!" She then pulled out her badge.
"Alright, we are the police...everyone freeze!"

David Hughes makes a serious threat to Officers Turner and Keller...a threat
that they don't take too seriously. Three days later the two officers disappear along with two unknown ladies. When they reappear
a month later they have no clue as to what happened. Meanwhile Officer Keller's personal life is suffering...all because of
his disappearance...two years later the past comes back...but is it the truth or lies. Can the two unknown ladies help make
thing better or worse...can they love unconditionally or will love come with a price...
EXCERPT FROM UNCONDITIONAL LOVE:
Rachel shook her head. "Laura and I are photographers and writers. Uh, our agent called and said
she just bought a house and wanted us to take pictures and do a lay out for her. She said something about it being a historical
house and gave us this address to meet her here."
Laura finished. "But when we got here...no agent, just those thugs. They forced us into this room."
Pete shook his head. "Strange...it seems like all four of us are being setup...but by who and why all four
of us."
At that moment five guys walked in still wearing masks. One that seemed to be the leader motioned for two
of the guys to force Jim and Pete to sit down. Then he straddled a chair.
He didn’t say anything at first. He just seemed to stare at all four of them. "Well, look what we have
here...two pigs and two ladies."
The other four guys laughed.
Pete said, "Jim, doesn’t that voice sound familiar?"
Jim smiled. "I believe it does. No wonder they are wearing masks...I wouldn’t want to be associated
with him either."
One of the guys came up and backhanded Jim across the face. Blood oozed from his lip.
The head guy laughed. "So Peter Turner...who am I?"
Pete cocked his head to one side and said, "Do we get to go free if I am right?"
